DIOSA ASTERIA

Hoy vuelvo con otro mini diseño que he creado para un libro que, aunque no lo he terminado aún, ya sé que me encanta. Esta entrada va a ser solo en español porque el libro (que yo sepa) no se vende en inglés. Se trata de un libro que ha sido publicado este mismo año y se llama "Rojo y Oro", escrito por Selene M. Pascual e Iria G. Parente. 
La historia está basada en la Antigua Grecia y mezcla el mundo de los dioses con el de los mortales. No diré más para que lo leáis y os enamoréis como yo. 

El diseño que traigo hoy es para Asteria, vestida de diosa y con una armadura muy especial, inspirada en las obras de arte (porque no se pueden llamar de otra forma) que crea la diseñadora Agnieszka Osipa.
Es una armadura dorada de pecho y hombros y antebrazos. De los hombros y las muñecas salen cadenas doradas. Estas mismas están también en los detalles del pecho, que unen la pieza del cuello con la del pecho haciéndola una, y que además le permita movilidad. Las partes de la armadura que no son lisas, están recubiertas de relieves con piedras o tal vez dibujos (todavía no lo he decidido) también doradas pero un poco más oscuras. Al igual que en el cuello, solo que este tiene un relieve rallado. Y por último, un vestido puramente griego sencillo rojo porque por algo es la Amazona Roja.

La verdad es que lo hice hace mucho pero el tiempo libre ahora me escasea un poco... Puede que en un futuro haga algo para Orión, o incluso para Eris o Hades porque me encantan ambos estéticamente. De momento os dejo con Asteria y espero que os guste.

GENDERLESS JAPAN

Have you ever heard things like "skirts are for girls" or "this shop is only for girls/boys" or some other similar nonsense?

Well, lately there's been this trend in Japan as a counterculture of these common opinions. It's the trend of a genderless generation, mostly known thanks to Toman Sasaki.

Many japanese boys are following this fashion style as well, such as Usuke or Shoushi. These boys are commonly known as Genderless Danshi, which means 'Genderless Boys'. 

However, there are also girls in this trend: Akira.

Japan is commonly known as a country of people who wants to blend in and be accepted. Thankfully as the years go by, the new generations are starting to react against this way of thinking. They don't want to blend in but be themselves. That's when this genderless culture began. Basically, these people just want to dress as they like without following any 'social code'. And that rebellion is what I like in them (remember Japan is not the same as other western countries, they still keep their traditions very strictly). 

Boys wear female clothing. Girls wear male clothing. And we say, what do we care about clothing genre? Why is it okay for girls to wear pants but boys can't wear skirts? Since when an object must be male or female? 

Fashion should be something that makes us happy when we wear it, regardless 'who' was made for. Japan has taken a huge step toward this freedom and I'm so happy for it.

¿Alguna vez habéis oído cosas como "las faldas son de chicas" o "esta tienda es solo para chicas/chicos" o alguna tontería similar?

Bueno, pues últimamente está habiendo una moda en Japón como contracultura a estas opiniones. Es la moda de una generación "genderless" (sin género), sobre todo conocida gracias a Toman Sasaki.

Muchos chicos japoneses también están siguiendo este estilo, como Usuke o Shoushi. Estos chicos son normalmente conocidos como Genderless Danshi, que significa 'Chicos Sin Género'. 

Sin embargo, también hay chicas dentro de esta moda: Akira.

Se sabe de Japón que es un país en el que la gente quiere formar parte del grupo y ser aceptada. Pero, con el paso de los años, las nuevas generaciones están empezando a reaccionar contra este pensamiento. Ellos no quieren ser uno más, si no ellos mismos. Ahí es donde empieza la cultura genderless. Básicamente, estos jóvenes solo quieren vestir como ellos quieran sin tener que seguir ningún "código social". Y esa rebelión es lo que me gusta en ellos (recordad que Japón no es como otros países occidentales, ya que todavía respetan mucho sus tradiciones). 

Los chicos llevan ropa femenina. Las chicas llevan ropa masculina. Y decimos, ¿qué más da el género de la ropa? ¿Por qué está bien que las chicas lleven pantalón pero no que los chicos lleven falda? ¿Desde cuándo un objeto tiene que ser masculino o femenino? 

La moda debería ser algo que nos haga felices cuando la llevamos, independientemente de para quién fue hecha. Japón ha dado un paso enorme hacia esta libertad y estoy muy feliz de ello.

Siempre sale llevando cuero y ropa de combate y a mí me encanta salir así también, así que esto es lo que yo llevaría si fuese una Manon humana, terrestre y del siglo XXI.

NCT 127 IS BACK.

If you know me and we talk about kpop together, you might know how much I love this group. Why? Because of its uniqueness in music and fashion. I've never seen something similar to what NCT does, their concepts always so refreshing you'll never be tired of it.

Among the units, NCT 127 is my favorite because their style reminds me so much of the 90s mixed with modern fashion. And I love everything. It's a difficult concept not many could pull off as well as NCT 127. 

Anyway, I watched the MV and I needed to comment my favorite outfits. Those that got me sh00K and I'm still not over with.

First of all, they wear three different outfits. I call them:

The Badass

Though this concept is nothing new, I liked it the best because (yuta) the print is exactly the same as their first album's cover, which I loved.

Everything in here is perfect except for whatever Johnny is wearing. Poor thing, how can someone dance with that? I'd have given him other kind of harness and something less heavy. But the hairstyle is 100/100.

The classy

Don't ask me why, I see this one very fashion-ish and classy. Maybe for special stages. I really liked Taeyong's sleeveless leather jacket. But I want to put special attention to Haechan's and Yuta's outfits (they're the ones on the far left and the far right each).

I must admit I didn't like Haechan's very much at the beginning but now I do!

This Mess

I don't know what to say about this. I'm torn. There's something appealing on it but let's say I'm not the biggest fan of pink+red (though I know it's the trend lately).

I have three things to say about it:

1. HAECHAN (down left). His outfit seriously gave me life. It looks so cool when he dances while covering his face with the hat. And it's obvious he stands out the most amongst the others.  

2. Taeyong (the one next to Haechan) could wear a shit on his head and still look amazing. Congratulations honey you're such a model. That made his outfit my second favorite.

3. The way Taeil (next to Taeyong) wears the bomber's sleeves rolled up over the shirt is amazing, I love the styling. He reminds me of those red and white candies. But the best thing about him is that choker guys. Like, buy me ten. 

So that pretty much sums up everything I wanted to say. If you're curious and want to see all the outfits better, I suggest you go watch the MV and while you're at it, enjoy the song and editing of the clip.

NCT 127 HA VUELTO.

Si me conoces y hablo contigo de kpop, puede que sepas lo mucho que me gusta este grupo. ¿Por qué? Por su unicidad (toma palabro) en la música y la moda. Nunca he visto nada parecido a lo que hace NCT, sus conceptos siempre son tan innovadores que nunca te cansarás de verlos.

Entre los sub-grupos, NCT 127 es mi favorito porque su estilo me recuerda mucho a los noventa, mezclado con la moda de ahora. Y me encanta todo. Es un concepto difícil, que no muchos podrían llevar tan bien como NCT 127. 

De todas formas, he visto el MV y necesitaba comentar mis conjuntos favoritos. Esos que me dejaron en shock y que todavía no he superado.

Lo primero, tienen tres cambios diferentes. Yo los llamo:

El de los Malotes

Aunque este concepto no es nada nuevo, es el que más me gustó porque (yuta!) el estampado es exactamente igual que la carátula de su primer álbum, que me encantó.

Todo es perfecto aquí excepto por lo que sea que le han puesto a Johnny. Pobrecito, ¿cómo puede alguien bailar con eso? Yo le habría puesto otro tipo de arnés y algo menos pesado. Pero el peinado es 100/100.

Con Clase

No me preguntéis por qué, pero este lo veo muy fashion y arreglado. Tal vez para actuaciones especiales. Me gustó mucho la cazadora de cuero sin mangas de Taeyong. Pero quiero darle especial atención a los conjuntos de Haechan y Yuta (son los que están en la izquierda del todo y derecha del todo respectivamente).

Debo admitir que, al principio, no me gustó mucho el de Haechan pero ¡ahora sí!

Este lío

No sé qué decir sobre este cambio. Tengo sentimientos encontrados. Hay algo que me llama la atención pero digamos que no soy la mayor fan del rosa+rojo (aunque sé que últimamente está de moda).

Tengo tres cosas que decir aquí:

1. HAECHAN (debajo a la izquierda). Su conjunto en serio me dio la vida. Queda genial cuando baila mientras se cubre la cara con el sombrero. Y es obvio que es el que más destaca de todos.  

2. Taeyong (al lado de Haechan) podría llevar una caca en la cabeza y, aun así, estaría impresionante. Enhorabuena guapo, eres todo un modelo. Eso ha hecho que su conjunto sea mi segundo favorito.

3. La forma en la que Taeil (al lado de Taeyong) lleva las mangas de la bomber arremangadas sobre la camisa es genial. Me encanta el trabajo del estilista. Me recuerda a esos caramelos blancos y rojos. Pero la mejor parte es el choker. Es que, compradme diez. 

Y eso resume más o menos todo lo que quería decir. Si tenéis curiosidad y queréis ver todos los conjuntos mejor, os recomiendo que veáis el MV y, ya que estáis, disfrutad de la canción y cómo han editado el vídeo.

A COURT OF MIST AND FURY

I finished reading A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. Guys, it's simply amazing. I fell in love with so many characters sigh. But I promise I won't make any spoiler because I want you to read it too! 

This one's the second book of the A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy. Since I'm loving these books so much I wanted to post something here, something related to fashion of course. I noticed how many details Sarah uses to describe some clothes and in my mind they're all gorgeous. So I decided to design one of my favorite dresses and show it to you. 

The design I made is exactly the one Feyre wore for Starfall. If you've read the book, you're probably remembering that episode too and I know guys, I know :_)

Here's the excerpt where the dress is described:

"Crafted of tiny blue gems so pale they were almost white, it clung to every curve and hollow before draping to the floor and pooling like liquid starlight. The long sleeves were tight, capped at the wrists with cuffs of pure diamond. The neckline grazed my collarbones, the modesty of it undone by how the gown hugged areas I supposed a female might enjoy showing off. My hair had been swept off my face with two combs of silver and diamond, then left to drape down my back. And I thought, as I stood alone in my bedroom, that I might have looked like a fallen star." 

And here's how I imagined it:

Keep in mind that this is the FIRST time I'm doing this and I know it's not perfect, I'm just doing it because I like it. Also, everybody has imagined it as they wanted, so it's going to be totally different from what others thought, even the author.

Terminé de leer A Court of Mist and Fury (Una Corte de Bruma y Furia ¿?) de Sarah J. Maas. Chic@s, es simplemente increíble. Me he enamorado de tantos personajes buah. Pero prometo no hacer ningún spoiler, ¡porque quiero que os lo leáis también!* 

Este es el segundo libro de la trilogía de A Court of Thorns and Roses (Una Corte de Espinas y Rosas ¿?). Como me están encantando estos libros, quería escribir alguna entrada aquí; algo relacionado con la ropa, claro. He notado que Sarah usa muchos detalles para describir los trajes y, en mi cabeza, son todos preciosos. Así que he decidido diseñar uno de mis vestidos favoritos y enseñároslo. 

El diseño que he hecho es exactamente el que Feyre lleva en Starfall. Si habéis leído el libro, seguro que os estáis acordando de ese capítulo y lo sé chic@s, lo sé :_)

Este es el extracto donde se describe el vestido:

"Elaborado con pequeñas gemas azules tan pálidas que parecían casi blancas, se ceñía a cada curva y hueco hasta caer al suelo formando una piscina como luz de estrellas líquida. Las mangas largas eran ajustadas, tapando las muñecas con puños de puro diamante. El cuello rozaba mis clavículas, su modestia arrollada por cómo la tela abrazaba áreas que supuse una mujer disfrutaría resaltando. Mi pelo había sido apartado de mi cara con dos peinetas de plata y diamante, y después dejado suelto sobre mi espalda. Y pensé, mientras permanecía de pie sola en mi habitación, que podría haber parecido una estrella fugaz."

Y así es cómo me lo imagino yo:

Tened en cuenta que esta es la PRIMERA vez que hago esto y sé que no es perfecto, solo lo hago porque me gusta. Y también que la gente se lo habrá imaginado como ha querido, así que este va a ser totalmente diferente del que los demás tenían en mente, incluso del de la autora.

MEMORIAS DE IDHÚN

Today's post might be a bit different from what I usually write here, but it'll be something usual from now on. There are many books I'd like to talk about regarding the clothing described and such.  

The thing is after maaaaaaaaaany years I decided to read again the Books of my Youth (I sound so old omg): Memorias de Idhún (in English: The Idhún's Memories. Not available in English though, sorreh). Everyone who has read them probably cherishes them so much, but I swear I didn't remember nothing at all. Literally no-thing.  
So one day I thought, "Hey, and how would Kirtash, Jack and Victoria dress now?". 
If I'm not wrong, I guess they'd be around 30 years old by now (I CANNOT GUYS). But still if the three characters were "normal" kids living in this era, I had some ideas on how would the've dressed to go out, with their parents' approval or nah.

Esta entrada puede que sea un poco diferente a lo que suelo escribir aquí, pero seguramente acabe siendo algo usual. Tengo muchos libros de los cuales me gustaría comentar la ropa y esas cositas. 

El caso es que, después de tropecientos años, he decidido volver a leerme los Libros de mi Juventud (sueno ya mayor): Memorias de Idhún. Todo el mundo que se los haya leído, seguramente los recuerda con cariño pero juro que yo no me acordaba literalmente de nada. Na-da. 
Entonces pensé: "Hey, ¿y cómo vestirían ahora Kirtash, Jack y Victoria?". 
Si mis cálculos no están mal, deduzco que ahora rondarían los 30 años (AY QUE ME DA). Pero de todas formas, si los tres protagonistas hubiesen sido jóvenes "normales" en esta época, traigo unas ideas de cómo habrían salido vestidos a la calle, con la aprobación de sus padres o no.

SEVENTEEN MADE ME WANNA CRY

Like literally guys. They made their comeback on may 22th and It Is Awesome (non-biased opinion).
But I'm not here to talk about their song or music in general. I'm here to talk about fashion. Yes. 
(shoutout to all the coordinoonas out there!) 

This comeback hit us hard because of the big change they made. We're usually used to matching outfits like in 'Very Nice' or 'BoomBoom', but apparently they won't follow that rule now ーat least on their MV.



Okay I must say I love the variety but there are some outfits that caught my attention.

The first one was Woozi's.




They even matched the outfit with his hair

I think the layers work really good together. Yellow is usually a bold color and not always the best choice, but I always thought it fits Woozi so well I'm- 
The colors and the style are a 10/10 overall.

The second one (and my fave) was Jun's.



Look at this. Look at the beauty. Look at the perfection.


This asymmetric t-shirt gave me life. I want five, thank you.
Jun is tall and slender and his arms are long (duh). That's why the choice of giving him this oversized t-shirt was really good. It makes his arm stand out and look more toned. So good I can't even talk. I give it a 100/10.

Finally, there were also some details that made me a bit happier. Like Dino's cap: those strips things are such a win-win I've never seen before. Very original, yup. Also Vernon's shirt: THE SNAKE. Back desings are obviously a trend these days and I hope it lasts many many years. And lastly, Dokyum's shirt: it's so big you can't even see his hands, how cute is that!!!! Totally DK's style.






Anyways, I think I said everything I wanted to say. Yeah.

Literalmente, chicos. Han hecho su comeback el 22 de mayo y Es Increíble (sin favoritismos).
Pero no estoy aquí para hablar de su canción o su música en general. Estoy aquí para hablar de moda. Sí. 
(¡un saludo para todas las coordinoonas!) 

Este comeback ha hecho mella por el cambio tan grande que han hecho. Normalmente, estamos acostumbrados a estilismos iguales, como en "Very Nice" o "BoomBoom", pero, aparentemente, ya no siguen esa regla (al menos en su MV).



Tengo que decir que me encanta la variedad, pero hay algunos conjuntos que me han llamado la atención.

El primero ha sido el de Woozi.



Le han conjuntado hasta la ropa con el pelo

Creo que la superposición de camisetas funciona muy bien. El amarillo, normalmente, es un color muy atrevido y no siempre la mejor elección, pero siempre pensé que a Woozi le queda tan bien que... yo qué sé. 
Los colores y el estilo son un 10/10 en total.

El segundo (y mi favorito) ha sido el de Jun.



Miradlo. Mirad la belleza. Mirad la perfección.


Esta camiseta asimétrica me dio la vida. Quiero cinco, gracias.
Jun es alto y delgado, y sus bazos son largos (duh). Por eso creo que la elección de darle esta camiseta ha sido muy acertada. Hace que su brazo destaque y parezca más tonificado. Tan buena que no puedo ni hablar. Le doy un 100/10.

Finalmente, también ha habido algunos detalles que me han hecho un poco más feliz. Como la gorra de Dino: esas tiras son tan geniales, nunca había visto algo así. Muy originales, sí. También la camisa de Vernon: LA SERPIENTE. Los diseños en la espalda están muy de moda últimamente, y espero que dure muchos años. Y por último, la camisa de Dokyum: es tan grande que ni siquiera puedes verle las manos, ¡¡¡es adorable!!! Totalmente, del estilo de DK.






Pero bueno, creo que he dicho todo lo que quería decir. Sí.
